In late 1990 I began to dream of walking across a dry sea bead trying to get home. I was young in this dream and terrified I wouldn't make it back to my family.

This wandering persisted almost nightly until I wrote down the few details of the experience and attempted an automatic writing session.

The series of dreams continue and told the story out of order and backward. I saved each scene separately and pieced them together later.

Karine wasn't thrilled to tell her full story at first but eventually, she did. This is the first book of three, taking her story of banal life to the struggle of survival on a hostile planet.

Written for the Young Adult audience, this dystopian, romance of around 80,000 words deals with many more adult topics but does not contain graphic sexual situations or violence.
